David L. Purcell was born and raised in Minnesota, where a love for red-winged blackbirds was planted into his subconscious at an early age. David has worked as an engineer, earned a masters degree in Environment Health, studied computer science, and currently works as a software engineer. Along the way, he’s spent a week in a coal mine, hiked the Himalayas, run a marathon, became an avid biker, played drums for his church band, collected a boatload of bouncy balls and now, to the embarrassment of his children, is a frequent birder.
David writes out of his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he lives with his family, two naughty cats, and his fish, Solo. Project Hope is his first novel.
